When we woke up this morning the weather was quite cloudy, so we thought it would be a perfect day for visiting Universal Studios. We drove to the studios and got there about 11am. The first thing we did when we arrived was go on the Studio Tour, which takes you around the sets of heaps of the movies and TV shows which have been filmed at Universal. We saw the Jaws set, Wisteria Lane off Desperate Housewives (so exciting for me!!), the destruction scene off War of the Worlds, and a really cool King Kong 360 ride which was created by Peter Jackson.
After that we went to the Waterworld show, which had some really cool water and fire effects. We also went to the House of Horrors, which was kind of like the Haunted House at Spookers except the actors couldn't touch you which was good! We saw an awesome pet show which had heaps of animals from the movies in it, like the dog from Marmaduke, and some of the birds off Evan Almighty, and a Special Effects show.
The rides were really fun, we went on the Mummy roller coaster, the Jurrasic Park ride, the Simpsons motion
simulator (which was waaaay better than we thought it would be) and watched the Terminator 3D and Shrek 4D motion master shows.
We had dinner at Taco Bell, and a look around the shops then headed back to our hostel. On the way we got slightly lost and ended up in Downtown LA, and we came very close to running out of petrol which was an experience, but overall it was a pretty awesome day!
