Day 2

Our Flight from Auckland arrived at 3 pm local time. The weather when we arrived in LA was fine but a bit cool.

We picked up our rental vehicles (Dodge Mini-Vans that seat 7) & used a GPS to guide us to the Quality Inn Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Unfortunately, we were travelling on the freeways in peak hour which was very slow, so it took us over 2 hours to reach the hotel.

We took our bags to the rooms & then went out to Dinner at DJ's Filipino Restaurant with most of our group + Susan, Dickie & Chinky.








After dinner, Susan guided us to Hollywood & we had a walk around Hollywood Boulevarde, seeing such sights as the Kodak Theatre, the Hollywood walk of Fame & Grauman's Chinese Theatre (where the handprints of many famous movie stars can be seen).
