This morning, we woke to temperatures in the low 30s. Fortunately, we bought fleece sleeping bag liners at the camp store because the campground had no electricity (most in National Parks don't) and we were not prepared for weather that cold.

We drove from 8000 feet to 4000 feet in Yosemite Valley and the temperature change was significant. It was in the 70's in the Valley. There is also a huge difference in the "feel" between the higher sections and the Valley. The Valley is a lot more commercial, and a lot more people. But, the scenery is insane. Most of the famous Ansel Adams shots are from the Valley.

We left the crowds around 1:30 and headed towards San Francisco. We drove about 3 hours on beautiful roads, but ended up staying in Lodi, about 1 hour from San Francisco. Scratch Lodi off of your travel plans....Uggghhh.

Cool pics. Just don't make the same mistake as CCR and get stuck there again.
