We started our camping trip on Monday (4-9-2012). We knew rain was in the forecast but wanted to test out the tent trailer and new rain gear that we had just got at REI. We met Bonnie at the campground. The campground is a little crouded but is in a beautiful spot right on the ocean. We stayed in site 6. We took naps and then headed out to Pillar Point and overlooked the bluffs above the area of the ocean where the Maverick's surfer competition takes place. It rained during the night and the next morning there was just light rain. We went to Fitzgerald Marine Sanctuary at low (minus) tide. Huge area to explore and lots of sea animals and plants. We went to Pescadero for lunch and ate at Duartes. On our way back to the campground we went to Pescadero Marsh. It was a rainy night so Debi and I rented a video at Red Box. The next day (Weds) was clear in the morning. Debi and I took a early walk on the beach and then the three of us walked along the bluffs and ended up in the town of Half Moon Bay. We spent

the afternoon looking at garden stores and then visited Half Moon Bay Nursery. This is the nicest nursery that I have ever seen. Huge with unbelievable variety. Thursday night a giant storm came in with wind and rain. The trailer shock like crazy but was water tight. On Thursday Bonnie left early and Debi and I took hi-way 35 to Purisma Creek Redwoods. Trees were covered with brilliant green moss. We had a great time and it was nice to spend time with Bonnie.
