Friday morning, a co-worker (Janna) & I head out to
Harvey Mudd University in Claremont, CA for a Job Fair. The sun greeted us, but was still a bit chilly. The Santa Anna winds had been blowing up a storm a couple days before we arrived, so the skies were bright blue!
After the job fair was over that afternoon, I drove north to
Ventura . Traffic was already starting to get rather dicey @ 3:30pm, so e almost 2 hours to drive 95 miles up the series of hi-ways. The further north I traveled, nearing the ocean, the colder it got. (Probably edging on 65 degrees.) After checking into the Hotel, got in touch with my High School buddy, Debbie. She was 15 minutes drive in Oxnard. We had a great time over dinner catching up and looking at picture albums.
On Saturday morning, head back over to her place and proceeded out to one of Ventura beaches. Her daughter & freind went with us; we managed to hang out the whole day on the beach. The girls played in the water, we walked along the beach, and just enjoyed the sunshine. Even took

The girls were SOAKED by the time we went for lunch. In fact, Debbie bought them an extra outfit to wear home. in lunch at the Marina. Very relaxing!
Spent a quiet morning on the beach w/ coffee taking pictures & watching the surf before heading down the hiway to the airport. The wind had dissipated, so the further south I drove, the dingier the skies got -- casting a brown smoggy layer into the scenery. Managed to spend an hour at one of the state parks near
Mt Baldy . Was much warmer and a little brighter.
