home to a beautiful highball route, Jedi Mind Tricks V4...cant do this one yet...but this is one DEFINITELY worth coming back for. It follows a creaky flake about 30 some odd feet up, really thin and sharp.

this area is so named for the looming rock formations which create a sort of maze around you when you walk in.

its really hard to tell in this photo, but the squarish block in the foreground is a 30 some odd foot highball problem. it is amazingly appealing aesthetically speaking but being leery of the rock quality I left this one be this time around...

its on the right side of the church of lost and found block...its really high as the owens river gorge drops off below it, so a fall would be catastrophic... but it is only V0

Not Mt Whitney
The picture you posted as "Mt Whitney I think" is not the 14,495 ft peak. Mt Whitney is the highet point on a ridge running north/south and the front range just above Lone Pine Calif. The east face is a 2,500 ft face that has a class 3 Mountaineers Route few class 4 routes and some delightfull class 5s on it. Was looking for some information on buttermilk country when I happened across you jouney blog. Sound like you had some fun.
