DENALI!!! As I look back on these last 23 days (think that's right--can't even remember at this point) I can recount for you all the ups and downs ( literally and figuratively) that I experienced. Be not afraid, I'll keep this short: need to finish packing!
UPS: 1) Yellowstone, 2) Crazy Horse ( don't know why I feel akin to him; no comments, please) 3) The Ice Fields Parkway ( watching people- except me-slip, sliding away!) 4) Denali National Park, 5) great weather ( I was never cold!) 6) straight hair, 7) and, of course hanging with friends)
Downs: 1) animal-less sightings ( is that even a word?, well, it should be!) Just remembered I did see 2 small bear cubs in Canada, but no moose, no grizzlies...2) miles and miles of nothing but trees ( I no longer like Joyce Kilmer's poem. " I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree... that man must have been suffering from hypothermia or something!) 3) the bed in our RV ( am making an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon when I get back)4) never got to see, Denali, our tallest mountain in the USA ( I'll show it

A lynx --Q said I couldn't adopt him to you on a postcard or if you look at the back of my tee, you'll see it) 5) so many promises of upcoming wild life on the roads (fake news!)
I could go on and on but, despite all this I am happy (really) that we made this journey.
OMG: We've decided to go see some wild life: we're going to the Refuge Center to see injured animals in rehab. Hey, I'll take anything, at this point!
Gues what!!!! my trip is complete---I've got pictures, too.
However, from now on if you want to see healthy live animals, go to the Naples Zoo!
Just go to Alaska for the beauty of the wilderness, the majestic snow-covered mountains and the unbelievable changing colors of the lakes.
