breakfast at the Mermaid cafe, cold and drizzling. Ate outside which was nice as inside so hot. Caught up on the blog. John picked us up and we headed for the Grass Hole at the Anchoe River.
Weather not bad. We fished with salmon eggs from Mikes fish. As luck would have it Mike went to the ute as I hooked a salmon. So he got the video and recorded it for all time! Took ages to land and my arm got so sore, itwas a struggle, such a buzz! That zist zist sound as the fish takes even more line.
A good size jack King Salmon, caught on a fly rod - we were all so happy.
Drove to the spit where John filleted the fish, took it up to Lisas parents. Such a shame we cant take it home, but I'm sure they will enjoy it. Went to the Smoke wagon for beers with Todd. Meet another friend of Johns who was a fisherman. Dinner at Joses, very nice mexican (if a tad too many beans).
What an outstnding day.
