Final Night in Fairbanks

North America » United States » Alaska » Denali By Lisa Ted and Chong
July 5th 2007 Just when we thought we were done with all the adventures with our wonderful guests in Fairbanks, we scheduled one more day trip of a life time. Leaving the Fairbanks train depot at 8:00 a.m. we headed for Denali NP. The train ride was beautiful, complete with an open air observation deck and dining car. Once we arrived at the park we walked around the visitors center for about an hour. After this we were met by a helicopter outfitter how took us on a spectacular, 75 minute trip through the Alaska range, complete with a landing on a glacier. Our time with our guests in Fairbanks has been more than we ever expected and has been packed with non stop events and activities. Tomorrow we will pack back in the Subaru and hit the road back to Denali and spend three nights in a rustic cabin just outside the park. After our three nights in Denali we'll have to cover much road to meet our next travel companion (Mr. James Conte) in Seattle on July 13th, for ten days of fun in the North West and Vancouver. Hope you enjoy the photos!!!
