Boats and Float Coats

I am now a certified motorboat operator! Woohoo! For training we got to play with all kinds of PFD's, survival suits, and rescue gear in a pool, including jumping off the diving board. Soo much fun! Thursday we got to zoom around Sarah Palins house on Big Lake in all types of boats (jet boats, whalers, zodiacs, and skiffs). They had us drive through all types of obstacle courses including speeding through a serpentine course and maneuvering in reverse through star shaped patterns.

The weather has been 75, sunny, and gorgeous which has been amazing. The week ended fabulously with a mandatory Friday work meeting (which could be confused with happy hour 😊. The day continued with a lovely nap in the backyard, a delicious moose meal made by my roommate, and ended at a cool bar listening to the Big Fat Buddha, followed by much dancing.
