Mérida y sus cenotes

Cenotes, a funny trip

Probablemente el tour más divertido fue el de los cenotes, es que todo el grupo era muy especial. El hostal Nomadas de Mérida tiene un ambiente muy grato, siempre lleno de gente amable, y también el dueño hace su parte (aunque su ayudante le resta puntos por ser muy cascarrabias y enojón, pero verán que no es nada personal).
Los guias Raúl y Fabiola, no solo explicaban los alrededores y datos geográficos, culturales y anecdóticos.
Quizás nunca olvidaremos a Juan, un señor mexicano que se subió temprano pasado de copas y que por supuesto, le dió ese toque a realismo mágico, carcajadas al por mayor, y también a la aboluta sinceridad y poco tacto para conversar con tanto gringo.

Aquí van algunas fotos, donde compartimos mate y al finalizar el tour, pudimos jugar "UNO" con Ellen, disfrutar la buena mesa con Sjoerd y la buena charla con el resto de la gente: los belgas Swiffer and Huub, polacos John y Eva, franceses, argentinos Marcela, Estela y Juan, daneses Cristine, Sarah y Sjoerd, australiana Ellen( pero ya es parte de todo el mundo), la dulce sudafricana Mary.

Ese día fue imperdible por el intercambio de datos prácticos entre todos los aventureros, la calidez de los buenos recuerdos, el conocer gente nueva y compartir de corazón antiguas historias de viajes.

Probably it was the funniest tour of all, all the crowd was so special.
Nomadas Hostal for backpackkers (www.nomadastravel.com) it is very nice place, full of people even in winter, and the owner is there to help you (his assistant is such a grumpy speaking-so-wierd person but isn´t that important, don´t take it personal and everything flows)
The tour guides for cenotes were Fabiola and Raúl, they not only explain about the road, places, geographic tips, cultural and jokes. Maybe we will never forget Juan, a mexican sixty´s man who jumped to the tour a bit drunk, and of course, gave us a magic realism touch, lots of laughing, and absolute sincerity and touchless to chat with so many gringos.

Here you have some photos, where we shared mate (argentina´s hot drink) y when we arrived the hostal, we played "UNO" with Ellen´s rules, enjoy a nice soup with Sjoerd and such a nice night chat with the rest of the people t hostal: belgium people as Swiffer and Huub, polish people as John and Eva, french people, argentinian Marcela, Estela and Juan, dutches Cristine, Sarah y Sjoerd, Ellen from australia, but nearly from the world, and Mary from South Africa.

That journey was the exchange-for-free day, because everyone give to others something, the paying forward system( not written agreement) where all backpackers exchange tips, cosy place of good memories, know new people and share heartly ancient stories about travelling
