Happy Father's DayHappy Father's DayHappy Father's Day

for you dad :)
Happy Father’s Day Daddy dearest! For you this year, Real de Catorce!!! - “This reawakening ghost-town radiates magic” 2004 Lonely Planet - Mexico I was thinking about what to get you this year for Father’s Day, I know you’d like underwear and socks, like all the other Dad’s in the world, but I wanted to get you something you’d love, and here’s hoping… that you do.

A tour of the town-centre (Real de Catorce) through ‘a lil bit of NZ’, a handcrafted frame, courtesy of yours truly. From the hotel that we, oh and also Brad Pitt stayed in, whilst filming ‘The Mexican’ to…. Sweet shit of the cobblestone streets, it was all very magic.

The day after, the horse didn’t really find the frame appealing, but the tour continues to the ghost-town empire on the surrounding mountains on one-side, to the once prestigious mines on the other side. After a month of Monterrey, which seriously really isn’t ‘Mexico’ Mexico, THIS was the closest thing to my interpretation of the real deal I got …so far. So without further or due here is Real de Catorce, I loved it and I hope you do too ☺ Love lots Happy

Real de Catorce a.k.a Rio la de Catorce
Holy crap that town looks beautiful!!! That picture 'from the other side' is mexico in a nutshell... at least for me neway. I can almost hear the mariachi on the air when I look at that pic, and the way the church is the centre piece of the town - I love it. Thanks for reminding me about fathers day... I'll just tell dad that the appearance of me forgetting was allllll part of the gift. That'll be sweet, right? Neway - keep 'em coming! Cíao That guy that owes you dinner, Si.

I know for a fact that bp did not stay in a hotel while filming the "mexican" it was Julia that did. Who ever told you is completely wrong! Trust me, am telling you the truth.
