Well, today was a difficult day.
We woke excited about the prospect of a day testing out our new snorkelling gear in Playa Del Carmen, but after our morning email check, that prospect went completely out the window!

Sitting like a little bomb in my inbox was the news that our South America trip was cancelled due to "insufficient interest". However, there were other tours that we could take that would work into the dates we had planned. Unfortunetly, these trips required us to fork out more cash...

Very, very disappointing and translated into a day of utter chaos.

We spent about 4 hours on the net and huddled over a calculator and calendar trying to understand why this had happened. (There is ALWAYS a reason).

We then came to the painful decision that we have to let the dream of the Inca Trail go until next summer (July August).

We simply cannot afford to take alternative trips, and to be brutally honest, we couldn't really afford the one we were going on!!

Actually, we so woefully underfunded this trip it's a miracle we are even here!!!

So, we will be home on the 7th May instead of the 15th June.

We'll be either based in Frankston or Sale, depending on who will let us live with them, and hopefully trying to get some casual teaching work.

Hopefully, these changes in plans will mean we can have a more relaxed run up to the wedding, as well as being far more financially secure going into our next placement in Bangers.

All good.

Off to San Juan and then onto the World Cup - Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!!
