Yesterday we started our trip pretty early in the morning. It was dark when we started packing up the van but light out by the time we left. The entire drive was nice but the section from Cordoba through the mountain range by Orizaba was great. Jill was the lucky one who got to drive through the mountains and she did a great job...as you can see from the photos it's a pretty scary drive. When we drove through Puebla and to the Arco Norte we saw the volcano Popocatépetl and it was still smoking so we drove a little faster through there 😊 Our drive on the Arco Norte was pretty uneventful as was the rest of the drive to Queretaro.

We met Eloy and Rocio on the edge of town and they took us to their house for dinner and to allow our dogs to terrorize their nice quiet neighborhood. Later we followed them out to our new airbnb and it's amazing. It looks like about 3 or 4 acres of walled/fenced property with a small 1 bedroom house, a seperate office, a barbecue area and also a pool...although its pretty cold here so we probably wont swim.

The dogs love the place. It's the first time they've ever been able to run at full speed without worrying about walls.

We've just been taking it easy today. Tomorrow Eloy Rocio and their kids are coming out here to visit. We'll be here until Thursday morning when we make our last trek through Mexico to the border.
