and that is an understatement. we are spending the evening in the touristy (yet large and with the potential to find a place that has a longer clutch cable for lindsie´s bike so that we can put different handlebars on it and allow her riding to be that much more comfortable) puerto vallarta. that of course is on mainland mexico...some might refer to it as ´real´mexico. to get here we had to cross the sea of cortez on a ferry... perhaps one of the more miserable 17 hour periods of my life. we both succeeded in getting food poisoning...my realization came when i had just enough time to make it to the rail before i vomited and did other dirty uncontrollable things to myself. lindsie had just enough time to help my sorry butt to a bathroom before her bout with the bug started up...we didn´t sleep for the rest of the night. cold shivers, aches, jeans that aren´t fit to be worn...that was our night. and puking. lots of puking. we had just enough energy in the morning to get our bikes and drive straight to a little hotel to crash and recover. that was a couple of days ago.
we are fine now with only the memories to haunt us. other updates...bodyboarding in san blas and chilling on the beach...it´s very muggy and hot...some beautiful birds...nate

Too much stuff
My opinion....You got too much stuff! I traveled for 4 months with everything I needed in a backpack. Well...all but pepto apparently. I don't know what you got, but from what I see take what you think you need and lose about half of it. I wish I could have blogged from the road, this is great. Best of luck guys!
