Chapter two - public transport practice
03-02-07

today has certainly been a learning experience. i woke up thismorning to find that my walking tour was cancelled so i set out to go to taxco - a town which i had no idea where it was, how to get there, or how far away it was.
so i asked someone at a bar who said i should make my way to the northern bus terminal. i hopped on a MOVING BUS which then turned out to be the wrong bus, was kicked off it (thankfully while is was stopped) and then a nice man helped me find the one i was supposed to get too. finally arrived at the norther terminal only to discover that there were no busses from there to taxco which is in fact in the south. somehow

made my way to the train station (once again with the help of a kind stranger and his daughter who came up to me and said ¨we want to help¨) where i learned to navigate the train system to a station that was aparently near taxco called tasquena. on the train i met a man who spoke english who asked some other passengers and informed me that once i traveled out to tasquena it would be another 5 HOURS on a bus to get to taxco.....

thats when i decided to go home.
so today i caught three buses and two trains just to come back to where i started. but at least it only cost 2 pesos which is 20 cent hehe!

sarah i know u will be laughing at me right now but u will be pleased to know that i actually have something planned in advance:D ill let u know how it goes....

next i was wondering around trying to find some food and this guy came up to me and started talking to me, we ended up eating tostada in the zocalo looking at a beautifull view. we chatted about music and politics
