This trip was EXCELLENT!

Yesterday our hosts took us on a great trip to Chiapas de Corzo where we took a boat on the Grijalba river, where we could explore the beautiful Cañon de Sumidero. We were stunned by the size and peacefullness of it. During the trip we were lucky enough to see some crocodiles as well as vultures. The trip took 2 hours in total and it is something we definitely recommend to anyone visiting this area.

On the way back, while still on the boat, we got caught by a heavy tropical rain, which resulted in us getting completely soaked. All wet and cold we sat through the return journey to San Cristobal. And as we were exhausted from the previous night out we went to bed nice and early for a change. Overall we are very impressed with Chiapas and we cannot wait to get to Palenque where we can explore more of this region.

We are heading to Palenque in a few hours, its a small town in the rainforest. Therefore we are not sure if we will have an internet connection, we will keep you posted 😊
