Great photos.
I just finished reading the book "White Eskimo" by S. Bown. Some of the places you visited are mentioned in the book. The book itself is about Knud Rasmussen, a Danish contemporary of Peary. Knud was extraordinary explorer. Totally separate subject: Am heading for South Georgia next week. Am I crazy going this early in the year? Going anyway, too late to change. Just wondered. Always enjoy your posts!! Thanks

Knud was quite the chap! I have nor read that book, but it is my list for sure. We did spend some time in Qaanaaq and went into the museum - there are many stories of Peary and Rasmussen in the community. South Georgia is always great - You'll be there at the time when the seals mate - there are always hundreds of thousands of king penguins of the beaches of St Andrew's and Salisbury... You'll love it there. Enjoy your journey to SG. Thanks for following along.
