Jane and I hopped into the car and made the 5-day trip from Calgary to Toronto. We drove about 8 hours a day, switching every 2 hours, in order to complete the 3,500km journey. Our stops included Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina and then finally Calgary. It was much faster to go through the states, but we decided to stay true to our Trans-Canada Adventure plan. We were fortunate enough to grab dinner with our good friend Sarah in Thunder Bay. She showed us around the sprawled out town and took us to a gastropub worthy of a spot in the Trinity Bellwoods area of Toronto. We really enjoyed Winnipeg, as we were impressed by some really top notch restaurants and a hip art scene. Once we got to Calgary we had dinner with our friend Elena, who brought us to an amazing ice cream spot, where they made everything in house. At the end of the night we dropped by the Blues Can, a live bar, where Seth used to work at during his brief stint in Calgary.
