new walking poles at the ready

Most long distance walkers recommend using poles so now I have a nice new light carbon pair. Hopefully my legs will keep up with them.

Lover of life and adventures and exploring kindness and compassion. Is there anything nicer than sitting on a hillside overlooking the ocean with a cup of tea, a sandwich and the wind in your hair and not a soul to be seen? Off to Japan to walk the o-henro pilgrimage of 88 temple walk in Shikoku. At over 1000Kms of walking I will need all the help I can get from Kobo Daishi and some friends so this is called "The Twenty Friends Project". Hopefully I will have the wonderful experience of meeting people with warm hearts and smiles.... full info
