Steeples everywhere
Yesterday was the beginning of new territory for me. The Captain has traveled as far as Rimouski before so he has a couple more days to wait for his. It was a perfect day with the sun shining, the temperature finally at seasonal values and calm seas. We took turns sitting on the back deck in the sun and watching the scenery.

The shores are dotted with large and modest homes and deciduous trees. Quebec is full of churches judging by the numerous steeples that are visible for miles. The land is flat but we are beginning to see the Appalachian mountains in the distance.

We traveled 95 miles in 9 hours with a 2 knot current pushing us. We anchored in a small peaceful river at Batiscan (46.31 and 072.14). A very quiet and restful night.

We are now in tidal brackish water.
