We were sad to leave Quebec, but looking forward to seeing Montreal again. It's been 5 years since we were last here and can vividly recall how much we enjoyed the ambiance here. Montreal definitely has a big city feel! The last time we were here it was late November and we didn't do as much walking as we did today… I guess because it was cold then. I didn't realize how big of a city Montreal was until today. We walked a lot on St. Catherine Street which is filled with many big name stores such as H&M, Forever 21, Apple, etc. It has an urban feel with so much diversity. I could spend hours just watching the different types of people walking by. What stands out most are the stylish women. Unlike Quebec, I get the feeling that most people here are locals and not tourists. I think that's because Quebec has a port where cruise ships embark and groups of tourists are everywhere on the streets. Quebec has a different feel than Montreal… it's smaller and less urban.

Montreal is a bicycle friendly city! Bicyclists have two lanes (on in each direction) adjacent to the car lanes.

This is actually a well known dish from Quebec City… but we never tried it until we came to Montreal. It's french fries with cheese curds and gravy on top. It doesn't sound good, but it is!
I'm including a picture but it didn't come out so well since you can see the reflection of my dress in the window. Tomorrow we will walk more and enjoy more parts of the city.
