Afternoon, everyone.

Thursday, August 11. Mom and Dad brought the motorhome back to Germany, with help from Ome Jan and Tante Ria. We the children slept in late and bummed around Ome Jan C.'s house. Oma and Tante Gerda came late in the morning and we went to the Barneveld market and bought a couple things. In the afternoon we also did very little, and all but Shauna and I went back to the market again. I don't remember doing anything else that day...

Friday, August 12. Our last day in Europe! In the morning, we went to visit Wilma and Evert-Jan and their family, and say goodbye. We went also to the Capela (?), a brick tower in the forest near Lunteren, and got a good view of the countryside from the top. In the afternoon/night we had a barbecue with Tante Wil and Gerda and Oma, with Ome Jan C. being the sous chef. Barneveld was having a balloon festival, and we watched parachuters and hot air balloons floating around.

Saturday, August 13. We awoke at 4:30ish and gathered up our mostly packed belongings. Bert and Ome Jan&Tante Joke brought us to the airport, where we were purposely 3 hours early for our flight (seats near eachother) We bought breakfast and looked through a few airport shops, and by then it was time to head over for security. We rode the plane for a gruelling 7-hours-a-buncha-minutes flight, catching glimpses of Scotland, ocean, Canada, and for a while we were flying over Greenland, which was really neat. Mrs. Huizinga picked us up from the airport and brought us home, after which mom and dad headed out to buy internet.

Thank you all so much for reading and following our travels. We got to meet some of you in Holland and see some who we've been apart from for a while. I hope you had fun reading this and tracing our path through uncharted lands, and that you enjoyed reading the blog as much as I did writing it.

We've learned a lot from our trip... we've absorbed loads of history and had experiences of many lifetimes. We've gotten better at living with/surviving with/handling eachother. I am so thankful for so many things about our trip, and especially to those who helped us out.

I hope I get another chance to do a blog from somewhere or other, but until next time; tot ziens! Au revoir! Auf Wiedersehen! Arrivederci! αντίο! Comiat! ... Okay, sorry... I had to. Gotta love google translate

Since I'm sure I will be asked, My favorite country was Switzerland, followed by Britain and France.

kaybye.
