airport meeting
seeing each other after 3 months!!! For 3 months English was not the first language of the country or peoples we were visiting, so when we arrived in Ontario and didn't have to translate the signs or ponder the directions of people it was quite a wonderful feeling. I never realized what a beautiful language English really is.

Starting at 9:00 am we spent the next 8 hours flying above the clouds towards our home country of Canada. Not home, home to Alberta, but the next best place, Ontario. We arrived at 12:00 pm, went through customs, found our luggage and went to find where the girls would be coming in. We had to only wait about 40 minutes and then there they were. Such a wonderful sight.... to see the ones who hold your heart. I couldn't wait for them to collect their luggage and when the sliding door opened and I saw them, I charged through the open door and enveloped them in my arms. It was again so wonderful to hold my children close!!! And...... What can I say about seeing my grandbaby!!!! There are few words to describe the joy of seeing her and holding her close. I
could tell that she kinda knew who we were and she didn't play strange or shy at all. (thanks to Skype) After the happy reunion and the luggage was being collected, we decided we better get out of the airport, find our rental vehicle and get on our way. The only thing that could have made this day better is if our Scott, Kyle and Dallas were hiding somewhere, also waiting to surprise us. They weren't so I guess we will have to wait until we are home to see them.
We had 5 days to enjoy and love our girls. How crazy blessed we were feeling. Oh yeah.... How tired as well after travelling so far and an 8 hour time change. Lots of time to sleep......later!!!!
We spent the first 2 days with Grace in London, visiting and catching up with all the news and having Natalie entertain us all. What a sweet grandbaby I have. O.K!!!...the big girls are pretty sweet too!!! Grace invited our friends Bill and Diane over as well as Paul and Marg, Jesse and Rachel and thier kids Cole and Faith. Had a great evening eating wings and drinking a few beer.

Rene and Bill
They have been doing this for 32 years now the April 16, 2011 we went with the family to celebrate Rene's niece, Carrie's 30th birthday. After the celebration we drove to Cobourg to spend the next 3 days (April 17-19) with the girls at Rene's parent's home. For the next 3 days we weren't terribly busy. All we wanted to do was to talk, hold, laugh and love our girls.
On April 19, 2011 we had to bring the girls away already. The time seemed to go by sooooo fast. I'm certainly not complaining though, because I was so happy to spend any time I could have with them. While we were dropping them off at the airport we also brought the van back and rented just a small little car. After saying good-bye, Rene and I were off to see Paul and Marg again. We stayed with them for the next couple of nights and had a wonderful time. Good food, good sleeps and great talks.
On April 20, 2011, we jumped back into the car and decided that before we went back to Rene's parents we would drive to Niagra Falls. Both of us had been there a few times already, but neither of us in the
Carrie's Birthday
Family and friends celebrating spring. It was neat to see the falls with some snow and ice still around and in the water. We felt a little bit like the Asian tourists we have seen along the way. They roll up in a big bus, everyone jumps out, they snap a few pictures, then they jump back into the bus and go to the next attraction. That is exactly what we did at the Falls. It was kinda cold, so we parked in a no parking zone, jumped out, took a few pictures and within 15 minutes we were back in the car headed for Cobourg. We were back at Rene's parents by dark.
Good Friday, April 22 morning we went to an interdenominational church service with Rene's parents and then that evening we packed our bags and prepared to spend the next couple of nights at another sister, Sue and Dick. That night Sue had invited friends of ours (Jim and Brenda and Bill and Jane) over for a wonderful prime rib dinner. We had a great evening together and had some great laughs.
On April 23, 2011 Dick, Sue, Rene and I went on a wine tour through Prince Edward county. We
Chris and Keith
2 of our goofy nephews. sampled the wines from 7 different wineries and bought several bottles of wine to share. We tasted some really great wines and some really terrible wines. We even spat some out in the buckets, just like the pros do. What fun and what a great day!!!!
April 24, 2011 - Easter Sunday. We went to church again, this time with Dick and Sue. The rest of the day we spent with Rene's parents and had another friend Peter over for Easter dinner.
April 25, 2011 - As good and responsible Canadians, we went to vote at the advanced polls. After running around to 3 different places we were finally in the right place. We were given our ballots and into the voting booth we went. Once we had written the name on the ballot sheet, we had to put it into an envelope. Then, we had to sign that envelope and put it into another envelope, then we had to tick a box on that envelope and put it into yet another envelope. What a to do!!!! Then to finish the process we had to mail the votes ourselves. Even pay for postage!!! Whatever! we were glad to have our

Natalie visiting with her very own suitcase votes count. We then spent the afternoon and evening with our dear friends Mike and Jodi. This was the 3rd time we had met up with them on this adventure. 1st time was in Florida, 2nd time was in Thailand and now at thier home in Ontario. We shared stories of each of our adventures and soon the evening was over.
April 26, 2011 - Our last day in Ontario. We packed our small little bags and spent the day with family and friends.
We were excited to get back to the bike and continue yet again on our adventure. The last leg of our trip is going to be back on the motorcyle working our way up the west coast of North America., back to home. Only about 6 weeks left.
Let's hope this last leg will be as great as the ones before it.
And so we remain.....
