Hi everyone! Clarenville celebration went pretty well for our first. We did get screeched in there. Lot's of laughs. Tried cod tongues. eeww! Went to Cornerbrook after that. Stayed in a beautiful old Tudor style inn. The people in Cornerbrook were unbelieveable. The whole town dressed in red and walked four abreast for about 2 miles to the celebration site. It gives you goosebumps. The show is amazing. Our set up still needs some fine tuning. Drove to the ferry in Port Aux Basque after the show. A very long hard drive. Gail like winds. Torrential rains and in the dark with lots of moose. Thank God we didn't see any. It was late by the time the ferry debarked. Around midnight. Got to meet up with friends that we hadn't seen since St. John's. The bar was packed! Very rough ride on the ferry. Four to a cabin so Hank and I were separated for the nite. Only about 3 hrs sleep. Got off the ferry at 7:30 am and drove to Port Hawksbury, NS. Very beautiful drive. We did the evening celebration here. Had to move it indoors because the winds were so high. It was a gorgeous day. 13 and sunny for part of it. It is now 9:30 am NS time. We have a meeting at 10am and then off to Turo for another evening celebration. Tomorrow we head to Halifax where we get a day off. We will update again then. Miss and love you all. Enjoy the pics. Love weedie and jeepa!

Hi-We are so enjoying the pictures. Rick wondered about the Screeched part-he thought that would be fun-I thought it was hard on you because I kept looking for another entry , and it was a few days before you wrote again. That is so neat that they all wore red-Rick and I have been trying to catch a glimpse of you in the news when they are showing the torch run-its so cool thinking you guys are right there. Sounds like some rough rides , with the winds, tricky -especially when you aren't sure where you are going. I love reading your travel blog-talk to you later. karen

Know that drive
Hey you guys stayed where we did in Cornerbrook! And we did that long drive down both up and down between Cornerbook and Port aux basques (and beyond, farther north). It's long and a bit lonely but stunningly beautiful if the weather is good. Hugs, Sar & Chris xox
