Yesterday we started the morning by (ME) going for a nice lil Jog around Campus, then down to the beach and back. still kinda jet lagged at this point, waking up at Famoushed. Meet up with my long time Buddy Phil, and he gives us a great tour of Yale town. Really nice area with modern architechture. condos here are awsome but pricey. Phil took us around to grandville island. Kind of like a ST laurence market with a blend of fairground activities. I found an awsome fresh sausage and sour kraut shop!! Helene found some fresh fruits and pure fruit popsicle thingy :S
After filling our Gobs and taking in the sights at Granville we met up with Phils wife Sans and her friend Teoun (totally not sure on how to spell her name :S) After a nice meet and greet we all went on a trip across town, Helene was dying to see Vancouvers crime district. Phil was happy to drive through keeping a military eye out for any dodgyness.
This extreemly small area in Vancouver located at Main and Hastings. Its a small area (a couple blocks) where one would think one is entering a Zombie
infested slum. In fact the police allow the zombies to shoot up and smoke and injest anysorts of......well anything!
It gave me a feeling of a party that just never stopped for like 20 years. with no breaks to shower eat or sober up. Pretty crazie stuff.
Helene was a flury of emmotions for the next few blocks...untill the clouds parted and the air again became sweet. We emerged at the ever famous 218 flavours of Gelato!! good stuff if you like Gelato thats for sure. flavours ranging from white chocolate with strawbery to the surpisingly tasty balsamic vinigar 😊
We then met up with another one of my college buddies Dave, and went for dinner. Cactus somthing was the name of the restaurant an Iron chef establishment. ( I will probably go back and edit this later, but not reallly 😊 pretty good eats nice steak and pasta type place. Then it was back to Phils to watch the amazing movie of his Wedding. I will bring back a copy. The End
