Vancouver Seawall
The walk from downtown Vancouver to Stanley Park takes you accross the seawall. Welcome to Canada!
Touchdown for me! First time hiting the ground in Canada, it all starts from here!
Although it's been a while since i left Vancouver now (it's November now as i write this) i will tell you this much, it's gorgeous!
Arriving in the airport and walking down stairs with water flowing underneath is a nice way to arrive to a destination, especially after flying across the pacific ocean 20 hours earlier.
Vancouver, where should i start. I stayed at a backpackers that was quite popular, had it's own bar and pool tables and internet room plus of course a kitchen. I met a lot of British people whom a few i was sharing a dorm with.
A walk over to Stanley Park and the Skywall is like taking a break from big city living, yet it's like 15 mins walk away and still quiet and peaceful.
Taking the Seabus across the water to North Vancouver you get to see Capilano Bridge as you make your way to Grouse Mountain, which was quite a cold trip through the mist when i was there.
There's plenty of shopping and kooky shops around and Vancouver Boatclub
The Boatclub as you walk accross the seawall places like china town and gastown which i didn't get to see a lot of but aiming at that on the flight back.
First club i went it ended being what i thought was a country club, but not quite. For all you back home it almost seemed like another Mad Cow Tavern. They had a live band which were fairly ok too. Don't forget to tip the waiters! They can get bitchy if you don't (but i'm an aussie ay you can't get that mad at me right?.....)
So anyway i will apologise for taking so long to update this but i have had many challenges and a lot less time to complete them. So stop being impatient!
;-)
I have a lot to update so stay tuned for HEAPS MORE!!
Dan.
