Well the last few days we've been pretty busy!
The weather on saturday got quite warm so we headed up to North Vancouver to the Capilano Suspensio Bridge, only a 20 minute bus journey from where we were in Downtown, it's a wooden bridge in one of the parks, surrounded by rainforset which rises 450 feet above the river Capilano (so pretty high, and also swings with the more people who get on it!) and then theres the cliff walk which is a small walkway hanging on to the cliff about the same hight as the bridge. It ended up being a really good day out and well worth the visit!
Yesterday (sunday) we pretty much chilled out for most of the day as the Vancouver Sun Run Marathon was on so everything seemed to shut down in the morning so we just took it easy and decided to pack up our bags as last night was our last night i Downrown Vancouver.
Jade managed to find us the bigest shoping mall though in British Columbia yesterday afternoon which wasn't too far away from us so went and had a look around in the afternoon (it was massive!
way too big for my liking!) but it was good to get to a different part of the city for a while.
As last night was our last in Samesun Backpackers hostel in Vancouver, we moved off this morning and are now in Victoria on Vancouver Island!! It took about 5 hours to get here, 2 of them by ferry, and even got to see sealions as we crossed, the views of the mountains and what seemed like hundreds of small islands between vancouver and Vancouver Island, were amazing, and so far seems to have been worth it. It seems to be even more chilled out here than where we were before! We've had a bit of a walk around but nothing much as we feal a bit knackered from geting here.....we got lost when we got here and couldn't find the hostel! eveyone we seemed to ask just seemed to send us in different directions aswel....but we got here eventually and i think now jades thinking twice about how much stuff she's carrying! The hostel we're in now (Hosteling International) doesn't seem too bad so far, it's clean and cheap so can't be that bad. It's right in
the middle of town aswel so again we're pretty close to everything.
I think our main plan now is to start looking for somewhere to rent and hopefuly find work too, so we'll see how it goes! We're a bit gutted though aswel as the ice hockey season is almost over and so we won't be geting to see any games any time soon, which is one of the things we wanted to do. The Canucks stadium was literally just around the corner from where we were staying before aswel which is annoying, but maybe next season we will! Hopefully this means though the summer season is almost here and we'll be geting some really good weather soon!
