Turkey is the first Muslim country that I've been to, and so far I like it. I think they've still got a bit of work to do before they'll be a part of the EU, but there are a lot of cool things to do and see here for sure. 2weeks wasn't nearly enough time for a decent look around, but I saw quite a lot and got out of there with out buying a carpet so I did allright. I'm russ, I'm from New Zealand and have developed a love for travelling over the last couple of years. It was the best descision of my life for sure, breaking the routine and heading off to explore the globe, and I would highly recommend getting out there and having a close up look and anything that you've read about or heard about that intrests you, because if it looks cool on TV, I can garuntee you that it'll be even cooler when you are there amoungst it. cant remembe what this beach is called, but we landed here. it was the wrong beach, and we climbed that ridge and controlled the higher ground for a couple of days before the Turks got back up and caused us to retreat

Hey Russell Those photos are just great. They have really given me quite an insight into the country there. Oh and the turkish delight looks fantastic. Did you know you can smoke a shisha pipe in Ponsonby, just a few doors away from where I live? Lots of love Francie
