Our flight from Cairo to Istanbul was easy and we enjoyed Egypt Air except that I think it was the most turbulent we have ever encountered! The airport in Istanbul was mobbed with incoming visitors but was fairly efficient. It already felt like a different world! We had 4 wonderful! nights here where we sang and danced for our dinners and were well liked and appreciated by the staff. They also gave us a discount on the room.

The water is so beautiful and refreshing here! But not many beaches, mostly big rugged rocks! Spring waters come in here and make it even more healing. And so it is!

I had to get a picture with this cute kid so I could pay him for SOMETHING, though I DID NOT want to weigh myself after dinner! Can't believe they make any money this way and tried to tell him!

reminds us of California in many ways. This is one of the drier, less forested parts. There is much agriculture- nut and olive trees, fields of sunflowers. Stunning steep and rolling hills, also mountains.

and us! It was serendipitous that we met Hatiche who we happened to hear about from the guy to my right - a bartender we got into a conversation with one day on a stroll through town. I ended up having her customize this outfit for me which started out as just a belt and bra.

Is an important waterway that connects the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara. Many large ships use it to transport goods to other countries on the Black Sea.

A wide street where there are many shops, tourists and people just cruising. Very lively at night on the side streets where there are endless bar/cafe/restaurants and music.
