fun in Jordan: day 3 or 4, i'm not sure, it's starting to all run together

Hello everyone! This will probably be short, it is 10pm here and I have reading to do and some sleep to get😊 Today we did not have class until 3:30ish so, I basically got up early and lounged around the place we are staying, it was nice. Then we went to a family's home and had a traditional Jordanian dinner. It was good. There was chicken and lamb with lots of new spices! It was almost too much to handle all at once. There were about 30 people total. There were lots of people our ages from the family, and most spoke English very well. Children in Jordan are required to learn English from about what is the equivalent age of 1st grade for us. Then most of us went to a cafe type place and hung out. It was nice and peaceful. Nothing too exciting. Six of us decided to start walking home. That became a bit of a challenge. We realized a man began to follow us, sort of indirectly. So, when we got to the base of the hill, which is probably more like a mountain, to get to where we are staying we saw a taxi. We stopped to see if he would take all 6 of us up the hill. We proceeded to get into the taxi and was approached by the Jordanian police. That put and end to the 6 passenger taxi ride. Eventually the man left us alone and all was good! So, that is basically my day. Like I said nothing, too exciting 😊
