Tiberias and more importantly the Sea of Galilee is ideal and tranquil. No wonder Jesus chose this area as his stomping grounds. I would too! The soft air, the gauzy haze of the other side of the lake horizon. As I walked lakeside in the encroaching twilight I felt a bit like one of the disciples, with my satchel on my back, walking onward to the night’s meal and prayer.
I finally feel back on my pilgrimage. Away from the swankiness of a Tel Aviv Ultra Hotel and dubious shops. And also in a way even away from the hostel. The ever increasing youngness and lack of spirituality was causing me to be crinkled out of my focus. Also tonight it is nice to be back staying in a pilgrim house. To once again be in a place of quiet purpose and contemplation. A place where fellow pilgrims have come in search of God and a way of trust.

This cross is the same as the one at the church we go to at our holiday home Roger, its the cross that St. Francis saw in a vision. I made a few replicas in clay when i was into pottery.
