So sad to leave the lovely city of Paris today.

Four modes of transport to get to Amalfi today, car, plane, boat and foot. Journey was made a little difficult as it was a holiday in Italy and this affected transport timetables. Arrived at the port of lovely Amalfi late in the afternoon and walked along the coastal road back to Atrani. Managed to find our accommodation (quaint and family run) at the top of the hill of the 'square'. Headed back down to the beach for a swim and some exploring.

I think we will enjoy our stay here ...

Dined at the bar in the square (found Luigi), went for a stroll and headed back to hit the sack.

Note: Train fare to Salerno is 4 euros pp. Ferry to Amalfi is 7 euros pp. We think this is the best way to travel to the Amalfi Coast instead of the bus so as to avoid the traffic and hairy bends. Alternate mode could be by hydrofoil but we did not explore this option.
