Day 4 London

Wednesday (Temp. 2deg, wind chill -7deg. Overcast)

Woke up at 3am. Got up at 7am. Getting sick of boring breakfast in plastic box. Walked to Westminster Abbey, not open 'til 2pm. Walked past Big Ben, over Westminster Bridge, along the Thames to Tate Modern Museum. Spent an hour there. Walked across Millennium Footbridge (freezing!) to St Paul's Cathedral, walked up to dome. Walked through Covent Garden markets to Soho. Had lunch in pub, bangers & mash & a pint each...yum! Walked back to hotel, tired & aching (knee better though). Walked to Buckingham Palace at 3:30pm, dusk, looked in shops on Piccadilly on way back. Irish bar downstairs too crowded for dinner, ate at Burger King Piccadilly Circus (50m from hotel). Early night again 7:30pm, Jules rang about 8:30 - 9pm?
