rugged roads
bash plate leaves ktm in dry dock fuel for yesterday was
16.04lt 20.84
and 17.90 for buttered steak (worth every penny )
the place and people in cochem were a breath of fresh air after the oppresion and depression of rupertshoffen.nevermind must push on. ride to garmish was quite long and arduous, plenty of roadworks diversions along unmade roads and numerous other holdups. one thing of note was two bmw 1200s came past and i tagged onto the back of them for a while, i was going along at 140-150 ish quite happily, these lads were a bit quicker, then the bike developed a weave of such proprtions i nearly crapped myself, i know you are supposed to relax and ride out of it, but all i could do was hang on for grim death and slow as quickly as i could without making it worse..ho hum lesson for the day a fully loaded ktm is no match for unloaded bmws....escaped unharmed just need to wash pants tonight.
Garmish looks like a nice town, very pretty surrounded by sky scraper mountains, will explore tomorrow.
