So the time came for us to give up work and say some fond farewells.

Lisa leaving work.
Well it was a very sad day I have to say with lots of customers coming in to say goodbye and to wish us well. Then the end of the day came when I had to lock the gallery door for the last time and hand over my keys, then off to the pub! After a few drinks Jenny, Rich, Carrie, John, Graeme and I went for food at the local Tapas restaurant in chester which was very tasty- they even had a selection of vegan options for Jen! We then went on for a few more drinks in a nice cheesy bar before saying our goodbyes and heading off home for a well earned sleep without the thought the of work the next day!

Graeme Leaving work.
After many years working in Conwy, helping to set up Conwy's premier sword and armour shop with my brother Bryan, it was time to hand over my share in the business to start my journey towards marriage and world domination......sorry, travel! Bryan had started to take more control over the business is the last few months so my last day went something like this:

Got up, went to work, said good luck & goodbye.....whooopie!!!!!!!

We did however go out for a rather sophisticated meal with Bryan & Nia (his missus), Paul & Tania (our good friends), Rhian & Anders & Leanne & Alex (Badminton lot.....and good friends), Jay & Christian (the lads from the shop). Food was good, drink was better, we said our goodbyes which will be short lived as we would see them soon at our wedding only 4 weeks away!

So only 3 days after finishing work it was time to pack up our little rented house in Wales and head down to the sunny south. I had estimated we would only need a small van......how wrong. Lisa's dad answered a call for help by traveling up by train to drive a very full van, while we drove 2 very full cars, and had to leave some things behind!!!! I am beginning to wonder how we are meant to live out of 2 rucksacks for a whole year!!!! After arriving in the south and taking over Lisa's parents house it was time to put the final touches
to our wedding plans........tbc

We would like to say a big thank-you to all who came to say goodbye to us from Wales and we hope to catch up in a years time. G & L
