Sports days!

Sports days all round!

From the pictures it may look as if J's school took the unusual step of hosting their sports day in November, but no, I can assure you it was June, and yes he is wearing four layers and a pair of gloves. But he is also eating ice cream! The poor things were freezing (this is the worst summer I have ever, ever known, I'm so fed up with it). The rain mostly stayed away in the morning for the mixed age group house competitions, but the afternoon's individual races had to be cancelled due to the downpours, but they all had fun anyway.

G's nursery sports were non-competitive (try telling the mummies that) and consisted of four very short races, for which most of the kids ran in the same direction... eventually!

I think it's fair to say both our kids are fairly laid back when it comes to competitive sports!
