Scotland suffered a second hefty World Cup warm-up defeat at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados after losing their way against Bangladesh's impressive spin attack.

Scotland mustered only 152-9 and were powerless to stop Tigers captain Habibul Bashar (57 not out) helping his team to a second win in the week.

Bangladesh had more than 15 overs and seven wickets to spare at the end.

Scotland's batsmen squandered a strong start, which saw them safely reach 73-2 after 23 overs as they batted first.

Little went right for them thereafter, as Abdur Razzak (3-25) and his fellow slow left-armers Mohammad Rafique and Saqibul Hasan put the squeeze on.

Top-scorer Navdeep Poonia (32) fell disappointingly, mistiming an easy catch into the ring after opener Fraser Watts (28) had fallen lbw to Razzak.

Much then depended on seasoned pros Gavin Hamilton and Dougie Brown, but neither was able to produced the goods.

Both were bowled by spin and the innings soon unravelled.

Scotland's seamers briefly kept their team in the hunt, as Paul Hoffman and John Blain each claimed an early breakthrough.

But Habibul and Saqibul soon engaged in controlled pursuit of an obviously achievable target.

The job was as good as done by the time Saqibul fell to an aerial cut at Brown, snaffled by Neil McCallum at point five short of his half-century.

Habibul made no mistake though, and came away with a 57 not out off 76 balls, an innings which contained five fours.
