Well, we didn't spot any royalty today, but we did wind up touring around Edinburgh castle for the better part of the day. The weather was finally cooperative for once - sunny and hot! Edinburgh castle is fascinating. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore. We were there for a solid 5 hours and felt like we still could have browsed around some more.
Headed on over to Andrew and Chris' place for dinner after the castle tour. Delicious pasta with chicken and garlic bread Mmmmm! The perfect dinner after such a long day of walking!
Sara, Kev, Dad and I went on one of those haunted ghost tours tonight. It was good fun and quite educational - a lot like the one I went on last year of Greyfriar's graveyard.
We found ourselves in the underground vaults for most of the tour. Quite a creepy place and apparently one of the most haunted in Europe. I didn't see anything but I did feel quite dizzy in the one room, as did Sara, and Kev saw a woman walk behind him in a red dress.
We Googled it later when we got back and apparently
Dad
We thought this old man looked like Dad in 20 years or so. Hilarious. she's one of the ghosts people see milling about so that was pretty cool. The tour offered us a free drink at the pub once we were done so we headed on over to The Hive which turned out to be the club I went to last year with the South Africans! The music was still fantastic but it really wasn't Dad's scene so we had our free drinks and left after about 45 mins or so.
All in all, I'd say it was a pretty productive day. We're aiming to be ambitious and climb up Arthur's Seat tomorrow morning. We'll see how that goes...
Hope all is well at home!
Cheers!

great to hear all is well
Jennifer its great to hear all is fine, I checked your blog the day after you left and there was nothing there, so I thought that maybe you didnt have time to update it. I am glad you are, its like being there with you guys. Great pictures, you actually got really close to the Queen, I saw that secret service guy giving you the eye haha I talked to Aunti Mame last night she is doing well, she asked if someone would be able to bring her to my Moms 75th bday part and I said that both you and Sara were coming but probably at different times and told her that you would give her a call when you get home and let her know what time you were planning to come. It starts at 2pm the gift presentation will be around 3 30 so if you want to come for 2.30 3 ish and stay for an hour or so that would be perfect. I told her I didnt think you would be staying for the entire party time. She seemed quite happy to know she would get a ride in your new car again. So give her a call when you get home. I saw the pics of Sara's straightener on her FB but thought she had bought the converter in Scotland, like you had recommended her to. That is too bad, I guess she is borrowing yours now eh? Keep up the BLOG, this is great. Say Hi to everyone else for me too. Good Luck with your presentation Love Mom xo
