My job offered free tickets to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo today. The Tattoo is the main attraction in Edinburgh, and started the huge August rush of tourists. It’s been going for more than 50 years. I was pretty excited to get a free ticket, because the event has been sold out for more than 7 months, and there are performances, sometimes two, every night for almost the whole month. I went with a bunch of people from work, and it was spectacular, a display of military marching bands, massed pipes and drums, all played out in front of the magnificent backdrop of the floodlit castle. There was a battle re-enactment, pipe bands, a military band from Boston, the world’s only army steel drum band from Trinidad and Tobago. The tattoo finished with a lone piper—lights out, complete silence, on the castle walls.

Very Cool
I really liked your pics and video of this. I wish we had been able to see the Tattoo when we were there instead of just the stands.
