Northern Ireland is a pretty crazy place. It's Ireland but its not part of the Republic of Ireland but the people are Irish but but butbut... Yea, it's weird. I walked around all the different previously impoverished areas where people were regularily shot and took pictures like I was taking pictures of the Pantheon. Everyone says "The Troubles" are over now but I felt really uncomfortable walking around these areas. You just know the history behind it all and its very creepy. And some of the murals are just completely ridiculous. I was just in a pub and there was a sticker that read "don't support Israel". I think it was a subtle (or not so subtle?) way of saying who and what they believed in. I'm headed to Belfast tomorrow. I'll get to see even more murals and things.
