We experienced our first day in Bangor today...and it was nice to chill out and slow the pace down. Mum and dad have been living the good life here...quiet days, yummy food and the odd game of bridge - yes, they signed up here too! Are they addicted or what??

Iz and I both had a good night's sleep in our cute attic room, then a yummy breakie with the family, including Grandad Stan, who was bunking down here too. There are lots of yummy breads to try here, and KB is totally hooked on wheaten bread, but there are loads of others, like soda and potato...if you're a bread fan, watch out! I'm not a big one...lucky to eat two slices a week if that, so hopefully I won't become addicted.

After breakie, we took a nice walk around the coastal route, from Carnlea to Bangor marina...this took a good hour, but we got to see the sunny coastline and a lone seal - one poor guy has walked that path everyday with his dog, and has never seen a seal!! Ryan then spotted two porpoises out near a bouy, and we watched as a pod swam by...we must bring the wildlife out.

Grandad was waiting beside the amusement rides for us slowpokes, and we decided on having something to eat - apple pie for me - and then had a walk around town. The boys got sick of us girls wanting to shop, so they headed home for the afternoon, but rang shortly after wanting some trousers for golf. The club was quite 'prestigious' so they needed to apply with the dresscode. We then spent our shopping time finding THEM some clothes 😉

Around 4:00pm, us girls caught the bus back to Henderson Avenue, and the boys got ready for their game...they looked very dapper in their pants and pageboys. Golf started at 6:00pm (isn't that crazy!!) and they played nine holes into the evening, in full sunlight. It was a great course by all accounts, and Iz had an awesome game thanks to some tips from Uncle David - he hit 57 for nine holes...no holes-in-one this trip and all the dogs still have both their eyes!

Back at home, we were watching a crappy telemovie on Princess Di, and were in bed by 10pm...it was fabulous slowing the pace down and spending

time with the family. I will have to enjoy it while it lasts...as we head off around Ireland next Monday, with KB and Ryan in tow...back to our normal whirlwind pace...hope they can cope 😉
