What a relief! Our faith in cycle touring restored. Hardly any rain, hardly any wind and progress was a plenty! Still the usual 15 wee stops per mile for Gemma and we can now officially confirm that more people over the length and breadth of the UK have seen Gem's backside than those that have seen Eastenders! I decided we would add a few unwanted miles the the proceedings by navigating us twice around a ring road and we also managed to lose Gabe in the back up van by sending him completely in the wrong direction!

Apart from that we had a great run and also experienced some extremely kind people in a little village called Whalley. The Toby Jug Tea shop (well recommended) was full of people who wanted to give us cash for the charity and also the shop owners themselves. We had the same experience at the B&B in Wettenhall at the finish. We finished in partial daylight too!!
