The sweeping views were absolutely amazing the whole length of the walk.

The views were absolutely stunning.

We still had a good 4 miles to go and we were starting to lose light - so Steve had the good idea of running for part of the route. Lav felt like an SAS soldier on a mission and struggled to keep up with Steve.

Seeing this gorgeous horse filled us with happy memories of when we were horse riding in New Zealand and South America in January and February 2007. Particularly our exhilarating ride across the Pantanal, south of the Amazon in Brazil; riding through caiman and anaconda infested waters.

We were so happy to have spent an invigorating time walking for 18 miles over the weekend, but very sad that it was going to be our last hike for a while due to Lavinia's pending operation.

Yes, that is Steve's silhouette you can spot, dangling from the tree. He has never been able to stop his boyish love of climbing trees - maybe he will grow out of it one day? Hmmm.
