Alton Towers
The twisting metal of insanity which is the 'Nemesis' rollercoaster People from England who I had met on my travels all got excited when the topic of thrill rides came up because Alton Towers was the place to go while in England. Hannah and I were up and on our way early that day so we could have the most time possible at Alton Towers. It took us just under 2 hours to get there and I was so excited, I couldn’t wait. Once we arrived we bought tickets and headed inside, I had no idea where to start so I let Hannah lead the way. The first ride was called Hex, and the line as totally empty, we went straight in. I had no idea of what to expect going into this ride but when it finished I was amazed. It was great, not a thrill ride but fun nonetheless, it was just a warm up for the big rides ahead.
Next was the newest rollercoaster in the park, it was called “Rita Queen of Speed” this was an incredibly fast ride, 0-100mph in 2.5 seconds, this was going to be awesome. After another short wait, we jumped on and were thrown into this ride at full speed, it

A nervous wait for what will be a very intense rollercoaster. was amazing, so much fun it was crazy. Next up was the oldest rollercoaster still to be in use, this was the “Corkscrew”, again a short wait, the ride was good but nothing like some of the other rollercoaster rides in the park. We continued further north into the park where there were some younger rides which we went on, those lines were quite long but unfortunately the rides were quite boring. Next we took the cable car to the other side of the park to try some more thrill rides. We lined up for a ride called “Nemesis”, the line was huge but worth every single minute wait. This was an incredible ride, the best I’d ever been on, it was a really intense inverted coaster. I came off shaking, I just wanted to go on it again and again but there were other rides which I had to do.
Next up was Hannah’s favorite ride in Alton Towers, it was called “Air” and unlike any rollercoaster I’ve seen before, this one had your back to the rail, as if you were flying. It was a strange sensation at first but we were strapped in very tight. I

'Oblivion' - A three storey vertical drop underground, now this is intense! got nervous going up this ride, since I didn’t know what to expect, but it was awesome. The rides at this park were fantastic but nothing could possibly beat Nemesis. For the rest of the afternoon we lined up for different rides some good, some very average but all up it was the most fun day I have had in a long, long time. However, there was oneride that there was no way I was going on, it was called "Oblivion" and was a three story drop, which went straight down and underground. The pools of vomit around this ride were enough to persuade me not to dare go on this ride. By this time it was getting late and the park wouldn’t be open for much longer. I really wanted to go on Nemesis again but we didn’t have enough time, we left the park and began the long drive home.
