Tray 2
Top left hand side, that's a sun flower coming up, and below that some mixed flowers. In the centre (row 4) we have 3 courgette plants coming up! How exciting!!Things are progressing nicely in the garden.
The Main Bed The sunny side (nearest the house) has seen the most activitiy. The flowers (including sunflowers!), mixed lettuce and spinach have all popped up to say hello. I've also (finally) got the potatoes into the ground after their chitting phase. Possibly a little late but fingers crossed they will grow and we can harvest them!
Jens Portable Garden The two trays I've planted up (as a mobile garden) are coming on very well. Similar to the main bed I have flowers, mixed lettuce, rocket and spinach germinating. BUT to my suprise I have some beans (french hunter) coming out. Interestingly they have popped up here, but not in the main bed, just yet! Very exciting!
New Additions I've recently planted some additional bits and pieces in pots (beetroot, squash, pumpkin, runner beans and a single cauliflower) so we'll keep an eye on them over the next few weeks to see how they progress. I also rescued some plants from work (they were weeds!) so we now have two healthy looking tomatoe plants coming back to good health in pots also! We are running
Tray 1
On the left (row 1) the hunter french beans are coming up, towards the middle (row 5) the spinach is germinating. Beside that the rocket and mixed salad are coming on nicely! out of space and Toms mum has sent us a few extra plants to help increase our productivity - where are we going to put them!!
On other news, it has finally rained here in Somerset! Last night the heavens opened in a fantastic lightening storm so fingers crossed this will give the garden a push!
