This is on of the statues that over looks the main bath area.
Well, last thursday Alex, Myself, my sister and Rupert (her b/f) went to a town called bath. It was about an hour on the train. It was a really nice area. The only real attraction was the roman baths that still stand there. We got some really nice pics of it. But the way it work was really quite amazing. It has been there for something like over a thousand years. It wasn't thought to be much at all until they were about to build a subdivision over the site, and they uncovered the main bath area. So they drained it and found that the bottom was made of pure lead. They then relized what they had really uncovered. Back in the day it was thought to be a religious area and the baths were used for healing and pleasure. Before you enter the are it doesnt look too impressive, but you go beyond a wall and it opens up into some really nice statues and crazy carvings. The area is thought to have been rebuilt many times, but some of which is still in original condition. For instance when the bath was built they made it from a natural

hot spring. So in order to keep it from over filling they had to make an overflow for the water to escape. Its hard to imagine that they had the knowlegde for this sort of thing that far back. but anyways the overflow that you see is the one that was built when the baths were originally constucted. I have some pictures of the over flow system. It will be hard to imagine with the pictures themselves how cool it really is, but Im sure you can get the drift of it. ha. Anyways, it was a massive area that was all sorts of seperate rooms. Most of which were used for sweat rooms. In order to have these rooms generate heat they had the floor built up on tiles, and made the walls hollow. Some of the pictures I got will show you this a little better. A lot of it now has fallen apart, but they salvaged alot of what they could. And around the site they had models of what they think it looked like when it was fully constucted (how they have any idea of what it looked like beats the shit out of me... but

it was still cool). After you are about to leave the site they have a fountain set up that has been there from the begining. And you can drink the water from it. The water tasted like shit, Im not gonna lie, but again... cool to think its been there so long.

Anyways, it was an eventful day, but I they had to return to work the following day. Im working like six days a week for these pizza bitches, but its alright. We have some cool guys in there. I get free pizza when I work... and basically do fuck all for like 7 hours a night. So ya, hope everything is alright with everyone else. Send me some emails and let me know how life is... I dont really get any from ANYONE. Ignorat whores. haha. Later guys.

... sorry guys after writting the blog and adding the pics I relized I didnt have any of the sweat rooms... so I guess you will just have to visit one day and see for yourself what I mean. PEACE OUT NIIIIGARS!
