Since I was on a 3 weeks of unexpected holidays due to the H1N1 quarantine, I decided to visit my brother who was staying at Norwich, England. Here's my account of this unique lovely place called Norwich.

Norwich - An English medieval city that has everything in it! That's how I found Norwich to be. This picturesque county boasts of magnificent cathedrals that will definitely leave you spellbound, ancient Norman castle, narrow winding cobbled streets and such cute little shops that you'll never get tired of this place! Every street and corner has something to offer. An evening stroll along the River Wesnum will leave you speechless with it's breathtakingly beautiful scenery lined with half timbered houses and the main attraction : the Cow Tower (a former British Artillery).

The city comes to life from morning to about 5pm with a vibrant crowd of people of all ages walking everywhere, doing their shopping and getting into cafe's to have a cup of tea! Norwich's definitely a shopping haven as well....Debenhams, Marks & Spencers, John Lewis, Primark, Peacock...you name it, they have it! This city has so many medieval churches within its old walls that you're bound to bump into

them each time you take a turn into any cobbled streets. Each church has its own beauty and you'll never tire of them, especially the magnificent Norwich Cathedral that boast England's second tallest spire and one of the biggest cloisters in the world. Sit in for their eventides at 5pm and just enjoy the sheer experience of a group of choir boys singing with the pipe organ vibrating through the gigantic pillars of the cathedral. Truly awesome and words simply defy me!

Since Christmas was around the corner, every little corner was decked up with lovely Christmas decor. Christmas carols were being belted out on the loudspeakers and the air was truly festive! Everyone was smilling and there was happiness in the air as each one made their Christmas purchases for their loved one. I wish I could capture the ambience and atmosphere and keep it forever....simply lovely! I was also busy doing my Christmas shopping 😊 On my last day there, it happened to coincide with the official switching on of the Christmas lights. Everyone was out on the streets to see the Christmas lights go up. It was indeed amazing to be part of this vibrant colourful

crowd and see all the buildings lighted up. As I stood there in the crowd with my brother, I was so glad to have this rich and memorable experience that I'll cherish to the end of my life!
