wahoo bar with the egypt crew
Howdy,

London...

Spent last week in London, good times, stayed at a couple of the kiwi's that we met on the Egypt tour.

Got down in London on Sunday night
Monday went to Wimbledon - started queuing up at 6.30, finally got in at 10.30 and play didn't start til 12, the line is well organised (you get a ticket with a number on it so no one tries to push in or anything) so it goes quickly, went for a couple of walks and sorted out lunch and bought some sunnies, was only when we got close to the door we read that you're allowed to take in a bottle of wine or 1 litre worth of beers so a bit disappointed we didn't get that done. Saw a few aussies play on outside courts and watched federer win a 5 setter from a packed Henman-Hill., good day.

Tuesday did some touristy stuff, british museum to see some mummies, london eye (pretty good), big ben, westminster abbey, tower of london (good) and a few others. Then caught up with a couple of other friends from egypt and had a curry on bricklane which was good and

watching the aussie game
cheap.

Wednesday - no runs from the curry which was a welcome start, went to a few more touristy places then went to a sports bar that a couple of stace's friends from devon north work at (cookie and trent) to watch england beat algeria. Then moved on to a pub in chelsea to watch the socceroos beat serbia, was then toasted enough to head to the walkabout in shepherds bush, filthy joint, reminded me of adelaide.

Thursday a bit dusty, went to buckingham palace and watched the changing of the guard, then walked through hyde park and down oxford street which were pretty nice, then went to camden market, just ticked shit off really. then back to Dean and frith's place to watch the kiwi's play there final world cup game, had a few more beers and went out at the wahoo putney (where luke gibbons is the manager, only caught him as he we were leaving though) for £1.50 vodka red bulls with more of the egypt crew.

sorry that was an especially boring one, only got a couple of minutes left on the library computer so just had to get the main things in.
