Out and About in Lincolnshire

The great weather continued for another week. It is amazing! England in the spring sunshine can be a very colourful place. We were staying in Cleethorpes with Russ’ Mum and spent a lot of time outdoors which was a bonus. We are more used to cold drizzle and freezing winds whenever we go there!!

Within the space of just five days we celebrated the birthdays of Russ, his older brother Rick (in Moscow to watch Man Utd!) and both of Russ’ grandmothers. It was nice to see everyone, and his Nan even had a party. Brewster Bear was on hand to entertain the great-grandchildren but, despite his help, we were exhausted by the end of the day!

We also got to see Russ’ sister Rachael play with her band. Brother-in-law Paul was also there. The evening was based on the “Last Night of the Proms” with patriotic songs and flag waving. Despite the protests of the band saying how badly they played, we thought they were excellent

As we were in the area we took the time to visit friends in Lincoln, Sleaford and Horncastle. It has been a bit hectic at times but it was fantastic to see everyone again.
